President Gordon Brown's Theme:

Nobody Does it Like the Elks!

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

 Welcome Brother and Sister Elks my name is Gordon Brown the Incoming Provincial President for the 2025-2026 term I would like to thank everyone that is in attendance for coming to Shaunavon for the 96th Provincial Conference.

My theme for this upcoming year is “Nobody Does it Like the Elks” it’s an honor to stand before such a proud and passionate group of individuals, people bound not just by membership but by a deep commitment to service, fellowship and community. Our theme today is one that resonates deeply with all of us Nobody Does it Like the Elks.

Now let's take a moment and think about that, when disaster strikes who steps up before being asked? when a local school needs supplies or a  family needs support, who's already on their way with open hands and open hearts? Nobody steps in for kids and families in crisis faster or more quickly than our Lodges.  This isn't new it’s in our DNA; it goes back Generations- to our founding values of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. These aren't just words on our walls, they are the compass that guides every action we take.    

We built playgrounds where there were none, we've delivered food to  families no one else remembered. I have heard stories of Elks helping  after floods and fires, delivering supplies to First Responders, setting up shelters, and checking in on elderly Neighbors when no one else did; not because it was convenient- but because it was right and that's what sets us apart.

There's something incredibly powerful about walking into a Lodge and being greeted not as a stranger, but as a Brother, a Sister, and a friend. Where your name matters or where your story is welcome.   Where laughter is shared, support is offered, and bonds are formed that stretch across Generations.

In a world that can feel more divided than ever, the Elks are Beacon of  what's still good. we're a reminder that community matters, that people still care, and that we Rise by lifting others, and our young people need  that.

Nobody Does it Like the Elks that's not just a slogan it's a statement or fact; it's the truth born from generations of service. From the smallest  town lodges to our largest communities, the Elks have always led with compassion, integrity, and action. We don't wait for the spotlight. we don't serve for applause; we do what's right quietly, consistently, and  completely.

We are the quiet guardians of transition and the Bold champions of   tomorrow, we are volunteers, leaders, neighbors, and friends. and we are united by a simple belief: that giving back isn't just something we do - It's Who We Are. Look around this room; look at the faces of seasoned members and new ones alike- each with a story, each with a reason why they give their time, their hearts, and their talents.

The truth is this, many organizations do good… BUT! Nobody Does it Like The Elks- with the same depth of Loyalty, with the same sense of Duty, with the same unwavering Spirit of Brotherhood and Benevolence. So, let's look forward to the year ahead, let's carry this thing with pride. Let It echo in every project we lead, every hand we extend, and every heart we touch. Let it remind us- and everyone we meet- that when the Elks show up, they show up with Purpose, they show up with Compassion and they show up to Make a Difference.

So, let's wear that Truth like a Badge of Honor. Let's make sure our communities continue to feel the strength of our presence, the warmth  of our support, and the legacy of our commitment. Because when the Elks show up, Hope, Unity, & Change show up. And that's why now and  always in the end its true, Many, can try. Others May follow. but-  Nobody Does it Like the Elks!
