Our main annual Walkathon is held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in October. Provincial Elks meetings are held on Friday. On Saturday morning there's a Cenotaph Service, and the Walkathon is held in the afternoon, with short and long routes. The banquet speaker is the director of SPARC, followed by a family that was helped by SPARC. A dance follows. Net proceeds are forwarded to SPARC. Lodges in Saskatchewan bid for the opportunity to host the Walkathon. If your Lodge is interested in hosting the main Walkathon, here's a bid form. In 2017 it was in Melfort on October 14th. In 2018 it was in Esterhazy on Oct. 13th. In 2019 it was in Regina on Oct. 19th.
IN 2022 THE WALKATHON RETURNS TO MELFORT. THE FORMAT IS IDENTICAL TO THE 2019 WALKATHON. THE DATE IS OCT. 14 TO 16, 2022.
